Job summary

The Ophthalmology support role at Hywel Dda University Health Board is based in Carmarthen, working as part of a nursing team within Ophthalmology with occasional administrative duties. Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in health or care subject.
• Level 3 NVQ/Agored Cymru in ophthalmology or equivalent, or willing to train.
• Willingness to pursue Level 3 qualification.
• Experience in ophthalmology or hospital environment.
• Welsh language ability desirable (Welsh speaker).

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff within Ophthalmology and assist with direct/non-direct patient care.
• May undertake administrative/reception duties.
• Travel between Carmarthen and Amman Valley Hospital as required.
• Follow local training to work at required level.
