Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a GMC-registered Ophthalmologist for a Specialty Doctor role. The post is fixed-term for 12 months with an on-call requirement, based across the MSE Trust.

The post supports CESR training while rotating through the Trust’s ophthalmology services. You will join an experienced team, participate in Emergency Ophthalmology, theatre sessions, and specialty clinics, and contribute to teaching and quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

• GMC registration with licence to practise.
• FRCOphth or equivalent.
• MBBS or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver acute ophthalmology services in ED and ward referrals.
• Provide theatre sessions and outpatient clinics.
• Contribute to teaching and audit activities.
