Job summary

King's College London seeks a part-time Research Fellow to conduct in vitro cell-based assays and in vivo studies focused on glaucoma-related therapies. You will supervise peers, manage lab operations, and contribute to publications while coordinating with the Ophthalmology team.

The role requires MSc in Biological Science or related field, strong data analysis, and excellent communication. Fixed-term contract to 31 August 2029, 22.5 hours per week at King’s campuses in London.

Qualifications

  • MSc in Biological Science or related field.
  • Research experience in cell culture and molecular biology.
  • Experience with animal/in vivo studies is essential.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Excellent communication and dissemination abilities.
  • Proven time and resource management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in vitro lab studies and in vivo animal studies.
  • Analyze data and contribute to progress meetings.
  • Teach/supervise other researchers in the team.
  • Manage the lab, including ordering, tissue samples and equipment.
  • Disseminate research findings through publications and meetings.
