Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is hiring a Staff nurse for Ophthalmology Emergency Department at the Western Eye Hospital on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, delivering triage, nursing care, ophthalmic tests and medicines administration while supporting discharge and patient education. Training opportunities, including OPT, are available to develop specialist ophthalmic skills.

Qualifikationen

• Registered Nurse with registration to practice.
• Experience in ophthalmology is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Aufgaben

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with urgent ophthalmic conditions.
• Undertake triage, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
• Document observations and escalate changes in a patient’s condition.
• Administer medicines safely and in line with Trust policies.
• Support safe discharge and provide patient education.
• Collaborate with nursing, medical and wider teams to ensure safe, effective care.
• Participate in Ophthalmic Practitioner Training (OPT) to develop skills.
• Maintain a safe clinical environment and contribute to patient flow.
