Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a locum ED clinical fellow in Ophthalmology for an initial 12‑month contract to support the Emergency services. You will work with consultants in the ophthalmology directorate and be part of a busy unit serving West London with a 24/7 emergency service.

The role involves 10 clinical sessions across ED, cataract surgery and general clinics, with opportunities for research, audit and teaching, under GMC registration.

Qualifications

• Medical qualification MBBS or equivalent.
• GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Substantial ophthalmology training (normally ≥4 years).
• Evidence of continued professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide High Quality Care to Patients in Ophthalmology.
• Carry out duties with GMC registration and competencies.
• Attend direct clinical care programmes promptly.
• Involve patients in decisions about their care and respond to views.
• Teach medical students and other health professionals; participate in teaching.
