Job summary

Optegra Eye Health Care in York is seeking an experienced Ward Nurse to join our private hospital team. You will provide excellent care to all patients, with responsibility for diagnostic testing, pre-operative assessment, peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suite, and assisting with minor operations.

Qualifications

• RGN with NMC registration or ODP with HCP registration.
• Experience with day surgery / theatre / outpatient settings.
• Minimum of two years post-qualification experience.
• Ophthalmology or perioperative care qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of ophthalmic service, including surgery.
• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suite.
• Provide pre and postoperative instructions to patients/carers.
• Administer drugs and treatments per NMC guidelines.
