Optegra Eye Healthcare in York is seeking an experienced Ward Nurse to join our private hospital team. You will deliver high-quality ophthalmic care across the patient pathway.

You will be responsible for diagnostic testing, pre- and post-operative care, and assisting in minor operations, with support from Consultants and Surgeons. We offer funded training, career development, generous leave, private healthcare, and a strong focus on wellbeing and work-life balance.

Qualificações

• RGN with NMC registration or ODP with HCP registration, with no restrictions.
• Experience with day surgery / operating theatre / outpatient setting.
• Minimum of two years post qualification experience.
• A qualification in Ophthalmology or Peri operative care and previous experience in Ophthalmology or Outpatients would be desirable but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in all aspects of ophthalmic service including surgery.
• Provide excellent care to all patients across the clinical pathway.
• Perform diagnostic testing, pre-operative assessment, peri-operative and post-operative care.
• Assist with minor operations and support Consultants/Surgeons.
• Communicate pre and postoperative instructions to patients and carers.

Formação académica

NMC registration (Registered Nurse)

HCP registration (ODP)

Two years post-qualification experience

Ophthalmology or peri-operative care qualification desirable
