Nuffield Health York Hospital is inviting applications for a Theatre Practitioner in Ophthalmic Scrub. This permanent, part-time role covers 22.5 hours per week with weekend work and on-call requirements, offering up to £39,750 pro rata depending on skills and experience.

You will be registered with the NMC or HCPC, bring post-registration theatre experience, and contribute to a busy surgical setting across multiple specialties.

Qualificações

• Post-registration theatre experience is preferred and highly regarded.

As an Ophthalmic Scrub Theatre Practitioner at our York Hospital, you will be registered with the appropriate professional governing body (NMC or HCPC) and hold the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration.

You will bring valuable post-registration experience, excellent communication skills, and a flexible, proactive approach to your work.

In addition to your ophthalmic expertise, you will also work across a range of surgical specialties, including:

• Orthopaedics
• General Surgery
• Gynaecology
• Laparoscopic Surgery
• ENT
• Urology
• Pain Management
• Spinal Surgery
• Maxillofacial Surgery
• Breast Surgery

A Surgical First Assistant (SFA) qualification is desirable but not essential. Candidates who do not currently hold this qualification may have the opportunity to undertake SFA training in partnership with De Montfort University, supporting their ongoing professional development and career progression.
