Nuffield Health York Hospital is looking for a Theatre Practitioner in Ophthalmic Scrub for a part-time, permanent role with weekend work and on-call duties. Registered with NMC or HCPC, you will bring post-registration theatre experience and a proactive, patient-focused approach to the role.

Theatre Practitioner - Ophthalmic Scrub York Hospital | Ophthalmic Scrub | Permanent | Part time

As an Ophthalmic Scrub Theatre Practitioner at our York Hospital, you will be registered with the appropriate professional governing body (NMC or HCPC) and hold the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration. You will bring valuable post-registration experience, excellent communication skills, and a flexible, proactive approach to your work. Above all, you will be a committed team player who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care in a theatre environment. In addition to your ophthalmic expertise, you will also work across a range of surgical specialties, including:

• Orthopaedics
• General Surgery
• Gynaecology
• Laparoscopic Surgery
• ENT
• Urology
• Pain Management
• Spinal Surgery
• Maxillofacial Surgery
• Breast Surgery

A Surgical First Assistant (SFA) qualification is desirable but not essential. Candidates who do not currently hold this qualification may have the opportunity to undertake SFA training in partnership with De Montfort University, supporting their ongoing professional development and career progression.
