Optegra Eye Healthcare in the United Kingdom is recruiting an experienced Assistant Theatre Practitioner to join our dedicated team. The ATP role provides scrub and circulatory support for surgical procedures and aims to deliver high-quality patient care in a safe theatre environment.

Under supervision of a perioperative practitioner, you will prepare instruments, assist the surgeon, maintain sterile fields and support pre- and post-operative care.

Qualifications

• ATP qualification required.
• Experience working as ATP in healthcare.
• Experience in ophthalmic sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide scrub assistance to surgeons for minor to intermediate procedures.
• Prepare, supply and maintain instrumentation and equipment for theatre list.
• Undertake surgical scrubbing, gowning and gloving aseptically with the surgeon.
• Assist with perioperative care and handover to recovery staff.
• Support pre- and post-operative care within competence level.
