University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is offering a fantastic opportunity to join the Eye Unit Theatres as an Ophthalmology Theatre Practitioner - Scrub / Anaesthetics. This fixed term maternity cover role supports the anaesthetic and ophthalmic teams in a busy hospital environment.

You will prepare equipment and drugs, assist the surgical team, and ensure safe transfer of patients to Recovery.

Qualifikationen

• Professional registration (ODP or RN HCPC/NMC) with anaesthetic qualification
• Experience working with adults and children
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing environment
• Positive attitude and team player

Aufgaben

• Prepare equipment and drugs for ophthalmic anaesthesia
• Provide essential support between the surgical team and other parts of the operating theatre
• Responsible for the preparation and safe transfer of the patient to the Recovery area

Kenntnisse

ODP/RN registration (HCPC/NMC)

Anaesthetic qualification

Experience with adults and children
