Job summary

We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join the Ophthalmology Service across BHRUT sites, including Queens Hospital, Romford. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology and general ophthalmology services.

Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have proven ophthalmic technician experience, with strong communication and data handling skills. Training provided where appropriate, with opportunities to develop professionally within the

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent technical qualification.
• Proven ophthalmic technician experience.
• Experience with computer data handling and patient data.
• Familiarity with PAS or Medway.
• Experience in glaucoma or general ophthalmology settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic ophthalmic investigations including visual acuity, visual field testing, and OCT.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary ophthalmology team across NHS Trust sites.
