Job summary

Alcon in the United Kingdom is seeking a field-based ophthalmic sales professional to drive coverage in North West Midlands and North Wales. You will lead the cataract portfolio, build relationships with clinicians and theatre staff, and deliver value-driven solutions.

You will collaborate with product experts, negotiate quotes, and execute local events, aiming to grow market share while ensuring exceptional customer support.

Qualifications

• Experience selling a technical device into a theatre environment.
• Sales experience in medical devices or pharma.
• Consultative, B2B selling experience.
• Ophthalmology experience desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of surgical techniques and anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Total Alcon sales performance in the territory.
• Own sales and market share of Total Alcon IOL portfolio.
• Lead account planning and execution for cataract-focused customers.
• Provide end-to-end customer support for cataract customers.
• Develop local events and coordinate with product experts.
• Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategy.
• Convert competition with value-based selling.
• Negotiate quotes and secure contracts.
• Map stakeholders and align with customer needs.
