Job summary

Countess of Chester Hospital Ophthalmology is seeking an Ophthalmic Photographer to join a busy team and provide a comprehensive diagnostic ophthalmic photography service for patients across the Trust. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) involves handling a wide range of equipment and managing own workload while maintaining records and providing CPD opportunities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ophthalmic Photographer to join the busy team within Ophthalmology, to provide a comprehensive diagnostic Ophthalmic photography service to patients served by the Trust.

The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of duties with respect to ophthalmic photography for the ophthalmology department, in accordance with the needs of the Trust.

You will be expected to deliver an efficient, professional, skilled and broad range of technical services for the ophthalmology department using a wide range of equipment. You will undertake your own workload of patients and maintain associated records and mentor junior staff where required. The post holder will be expected to attend additional training when required and maintain CPD.

The Trust’s services are provided from three locations:

• The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds.
• Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.
• Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.
