SpaMedica is recruiting for an Optical Assistant on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave at Kendal hospitals. The role is full-time across multiple Kendal sites, with 37.5 hours per week, typically 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, four days in six.

Qualifikationen

• Clinical governance compliance is required.
• Carry out diagnostic examinations with optometrists.
• Assist in pre- and post-operative clinics.
• Act as theatre runner in busy environments.
• Maintain stock levels and equipment.
• Ensure patient confidentiality at all times per GDPR.

• Work with optometrists to run clinics and perform diagnostics.

• Be proficient with the Medisoft database.
• Follow procedures for reporting accidents or incidents.
• Prepare areas and check equipment before clinical activities.
• Ensure proper storage of equipment.
• Adhere to policies and procedures.
• Assist with stock control and maintain par levels.
• Manage diagnostic and theatre equipment daily.
