Job Details

• Band: 4 (£26,530 - £29,114 per annum, pro rata)
• Hours: 29 per week, flexible working considered

About the Department

The Optometry Department, part of the Eye Clinic, supports Consultants, Medical staff, Orthoptists, and Nurses in a busy outpatient setting. The clinic is moving to Lloyds Court, Central Milton Keynes.

Role Responsibilities

1. Perform Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) scans
2. Conduct anterior segment imaging and fundus photography using the Optos widefield camera
3. Undertake visual fields assessments with Humphrey Visual Fields Analyzer
4. Test and record vision using Snellen and LogMAR charts
5. Assist with administrative duties
6. Manage clinic operations in the absence of the Lead Ophthalmic Technician
7. Coordinate with IT and EBME for equipment issues and updates
8. Engage in audits and departmental training
9. Support colleagues' professional development
