Job summary

Optegra Eye Healthcare is seeking a part-time Healthcare Technician (HCA, Band 3) with ward or theatre experience, ideally in ophthalmology, to join our private Central London Eye Hospital in Marylebone. The role offers funded training and development with a supportive team and flexible working patterns across Monday to Friday.

You’ll contribute to high quality patient care in a multi-disciplinary setting, assist in outpatient and surgery days, and help deliver diagnostics and pre/postoperative

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare environment or ophthalmic sector.
• Basic Life Support competence.
• Highly organized with clear forward planning and ability to flex to patients' needs.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality patient care throughout their visit to Optegra.
• Support smooth running of operating lists with clinical and patient services staff.
• Complete diagnostic testing in clinic (Biometry, OCT, A-Scan, Visual fields, Pentacam, VA, IOP, Topography).
• Assist patients on surgery days and communicate effectively with the team.
• Handle patient enquiries and refer to a medical practitioner when needed.
