Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking an Anaesthetics Ophthalmic Registrar in Birmingham to deliver safe anaesthesia for eye surgery, perform pre-operative assessments, and plan regional techniques such as peribulbar blocks. You will work with ophthalmic surgeons and theatre teams to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical conditions.

Qualifications

• GMC Registration required.
• FCRA Part 1 is required.
• ALS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective anaesthesia to patients undergoing eye surgery.
• Assess patients pre-operatively and plan/ administer anaesthetic techniques.
• Monitor patients throughout the procedure and support ophthalmic surgeons and theatre teams.
• Post-operatively manage recovery, pain relief, and participate in teaching, audits and quality improvement.
