Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join a busy Castle Cary warehouse. You will handle receiving, packing, stock control and dispatch, contributing to accurate customer orders in a fast-paced environment. This role offers 37.5 hours per week on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will work as part of a team, maintain high safety standards, and support colleagues to meet operational targets while upholding productivity and accuracy levels.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience desirable.
• Experience with picking, packing, goods-in or goods-out operations is advantageous.
• Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Receive, check and put away incoming stock deliveries.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory and stock control procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment in line with company procedures and training.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety requirements.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organized and hazard-free.

Warehouse Operative

Location: Castle Cary Work Pattern: Full Time, Permanent

Summary of Role

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse operation in Castle Cary. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and productivity. Working as part of the warehouse team, you will be responsible for receiving, handling, storing and dispatching products while ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately. The role offers stable, full-time hours of 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch
• Receive, check and put away incoming stock deliveries
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate inventory and stock control procedures
• Operate warehouse equipment in line with company procedures and training
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organised and free from hazards
• Support colleagues and contribute to achieving operational targets

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience is desirable

• Forklift or MHE experience would be advantageous, although not essential
• Right to work in the UK
• Desirable Experience working within a fast-moving warehouse environment
• Previous experience working to productivity or performance targets
• Knowledge of stock control processes
• MHE licences or certifications
