Job summary

Sharpsmart is hiring a Plant Operative to support production and warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. You will work in teams, handle hazardous waste processes, and use a forklift to move containers and operate the autoclave system. Attention to paperwork and safety procedures is essential.

The role offers 4 on 4 off days, permanent employment, and a competitive salary of £28,445.42 including shift allowance, with private healthcare, dental care, and a broad employee benefits scheme.

Weare currently recruiting for a Plant Operative position; this role is critical to the success of the company with widely varying role, including:

• Checking in containers and checking paperwork
• Moving/unloading specific waste containers
• Operating a forklift to load an autoclave
• Weigh incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers (using our Weighbridge)
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Lifting and pushingcarts
• Provide attention to detail, especially with the paperwork required to process these items
• General housekeeping
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team because we are all about team work!

Team work is a huge part of this role and you must be able to communicate well across the plant, and be able to support as needed.
