Job summary

Sharpsmart Ltd is recruiting for a Plant Operative to support production and warehousing activities. The role involves checking in containers, moving waste, forklift operation, weighing materials, and operating the autoclave, with team-based collaboration and strict paperwork discipline.

Hours are 10am–8pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities and a permanent full-time contract. The position offers private healthcare, dental options, and a broad employee benefits scheme.

Responsibilities

Hours of work for this job are Monday to Friday 10am to 8pm

We are currently recruiting for a Plant Operative position; this role is critical to the success of the company with widely varying role, including:

• Checking in containers and checking paperwork
• Moving/unloading specific waste containers
• Operating a forklift to load an autoclave
• Weigh incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers (using our Weighbridge)
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Lifting and pushingcarts
• Provide attention to detail, especially with the paperwork required to process these items
• General housekeeping
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team because we are all about team work!

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have experience in a production/warehouse environment with experience of working in afast pacedposition. Team work is a huge part of this role and you must be able tocommunicate well across the plant, and be able to support as needed.We are looking for an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.
