Job summary

Ringway in Gloucester is looking for an operative to perform general maintenance and a range of routine tasks, working with a Chargehand. You will respond to emergencies, take part in call-outs out of hours, and assist with winter maintenance as the second man or driver's mate.

Apprentices who have completed training are included in the role. The role requires driving licence, CSCS, and willingness to work varied hours to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Generalist skills and a wide range of tasks.
• Ability to understand risk assessments and apply safe systems of work.
• Capability to interpret and follow work specifications.
• Typically 12 months+ experience in similar roles.
• Interest in obtaining LGV licence.
• Training already completed on health & safety awareness, risk assessment awareness, traffic management, PDA usage.
• Ability to operate small plant and equipment and mini excavators.

Summary

To carry out general maintenance works and operations, working with a Chargehand, undertaking a wide range of routine and cyclical works. To respond to emergencies and call outs during or out of hours on rotas as required and assist with winter maintenance activities as a second man or driver’s mate. Includes apprentices who have fully completed training
