Job summary

Veolia Brent is seeking an operative to weighbridge, manage paperwork, and assist loading bulkers in a busy waste operation. The role requires PPE compliance, ticketing, and reporting contaminated loads with a hands-on approach.

You will join a safety- and efficiency-focused team, receive training, and have opportunities to grow within Veolia's environmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• Computer literacy is required.
• Environmental permit CMS understood.
• Ability to work well alone and in a team.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Good communication skills with drivers.

Responsibilities

• Weighbridge cover, booking in and out of vehicles.
• Ensure paperwork is compliant and drivers have correct PPE.
• Fill tickets.
• Report contamination of loads.
• Assist in loading bulkers and moving waste piles (if trained).
• Report safety concerns/ near misses.
• Traffic management
• Strong organizational skills

What you'll be doing

• Weighbridge cover/ booking in and out of vehicles
• Ensuring all paperwork is compliant and drivers have correct PPE upon weighing in
• Filling of tickets
• Reporting contamination of loads
• Assist in loading bulkers and pushing waste piles up (when yellow plant trained)
• Reporting safety concerns/ near misses
• Traffic Management
• Organization skills

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Computer Literate
• Environmental permit CMS

• Good communication skills as will be dealing with drivers

Desirable:

• Previous waste experience
• Yellow Plant inc Forklift&Scarab (training will be given if not)
