The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team of operators at Arla Foods Lockerbie Dairy, working across our Anaerobic Digestion and effluent plant. The role involves providing technical and process skills within a multiskilled team, ensuring operational continuity and improvement. The AD Technician will champion safe working conditions and contribute to LEAN principles, food safety, and quality standards at the site.

How you would add value

• Operate and monitor state-of-the-art processing equipment to produce gas for the grid and ensure effluent discharge compliance, reporting on process and equipment status based on performance
• Collaborate with engineering and team members to minimize downtime due to breakdowns and facilitate planned maintenance and projects
• Utilize specialist knowledge to analyze processes and suggest optimizations and improvements
• Support KPI delivery to help the department and site meet their goals
• Promote a safety culture by reporting near misses, risk observations, environmental issues, and behavioral safety observations; ensure accurate completion of paperwork
• Apply Lean principles to drive continuous operational improvements and adopt best practices
