About Our Lockerbie Site

A highly automated site undergoing a c.£35 million investment for improvements. The Anaerobic Digestion plant at Lockerbie Dairy & Creamery will be the largest in Europe upon completion.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work at Arla Foods Lockerbie Dairy on our Anaerobic Digestion plant. As an M&E Technician, you will perform routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including:

• Inspecting and servicing pumps, valves, feed systems, and other mechanical components
• Troubleshooting and repairing faults in the digestion system and associated equipment
• Monitoring performance using control systems
• Adjusting controls to optimize the process and analyzing biogas data

Candidate Requirements

• Ambition & drive
• Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering in manufacturing or process environments; experience with effluent treatment or AD plants is highly desirable
• Apprentice trained with NVQ or CITB Level 3 qualification in engineering
• Experience with machinery such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, digesters
• Computer literate: SAP, Microsoft Office, SCADA, Trend systems, HMI’s
• Multi-skilled engineer experience in manufacturing
