Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is recruiting an Operations Supervisor for an established ready-mixed concrete and concrete pumping business based in Stratford-upon-Avon.

This hands-on supervisory role oversees daily production, planning and delivery operations, ensuring orders are fulfilled efficiently and safely. You will coordinate batching, dispatch, vehicles and teams, working closely with the General Manager to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with drivers, batching personnel, customers and management to resolve day-to-day problems.
• Coordinating maintenance requirements and reporting equipment defects.
• Ensuring housekeeping, site safety and operational standards are maintained.
• Supporting the training, supervision and development of operational employees.
• Escalating significant production, workforce or customer issues to the General Manager.

Lead Daily Production, Keep Deliveries Moving and Support a Busy Concrete Operation

Andrews Recruitment Group is recruiting an Operations Supervisor for an established ready-mixed concrete and concrete pumping business based in Stratford-upon-Avon.

This is a hands-on supervisory position for someone who understands how busy industrial operations work and enjoys being involved in the daily running of production, people and plant.

The business operates ready-mixed concrete production facilities, a commercial delivery fleet and specialist concrete pumping services.

Working closely with the General Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating daily operations, supporting production teams and ensuring customer orders are delivered efficiently and reliably.

We're particularly interested in people with experience in ready-mixed concrete, batching plants, aggregates, construction materials or similar heavy industrial environments.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising daily production and operational activities at the concrete batching facility.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with a practical understanding of production environments and the ability to keep people and operations organised.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience working in ready-mixed concrete, aggregates, quarrying, construction materials or heavy industrial production.
• Previous supervisory, team leader or senior operational experience.
• Understanding of batching plants, production equipment or industrial machinery.
• Experience coordinating staff, vehicles, deliveries or production schedules.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• A practical understanding of health and safety in industrial environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with different operational teams.
• Confidence dealing with day-to-day production issues and customer requirements.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to getting work completed.

Particularly Useful Experience

• Ready-mixed concrete batching or plant operation.
• Concrete production and delivery coordination.
• Experience working with mixer trucks, volumetric vehicles or associated equipment.
• Knowledge of concrete quality control, mix specifications or cube testing.
• Experience supervising plant operators, drivers or production employees.
• Understanding of planned maintenance and breakdown reporting.
• Experience working across multiple production or delivery activities.
