Smiths Concrete in Banbury is seeking a District Operations Manager to lead our ready-mix concrete operations across the region. This pivotal leadership role focuses on safety, people development, service delivery and operational excellence across multiple sites.

You’ll take accountability for safe, efficient and profitable plant operation, coaching teams, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with commercial and senior leaders to shape regional strategy.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within construction materials, concrete, aggregates, manufacturing or a similar operational environment
• Strong track record of managing teams and improving performance
• Excellent people leadership and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and experience managing operational costs and budgets
• Commitment to health, safety and operational excellence
• Ability to build strong relationships across operations, commercial and support teams

The Opportunity

As District Operations Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the safe, efficient and profitable operation of our concrete plants within the district. Leading a team of operational professionals, you’ll ensure we consistently deliver exceptional service to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performance. Working closely with commercial teams and senior leaders, you’ll play a key role in shaping operational strategy, driving continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to enhance productivity, service and profitability.
