Job summary

Pertemps in Colnbrook is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor (Nights) to oversee daily warehouse operations and drive customer SLAs. You will lead a shift from 9pm to 6am, Saturday to Wednesday, ensuring accurate processing and smooth handovers.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, monitoring performance, and maintaining health and safety standards, with a pathway from temporary to permanent employment. A Full UK driving licence and logistics experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Warehouse supervisor or team leader experience in logistics.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient computer literacy including email.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail; positive, proactive and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day warehouse and fulfilment activities.
• Ensure shipments are processed accurately and within customer SLAs.
• Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Conduct daily shift briefings and handovers.
• Monitor attendance, performance and timekeeping.
• Coach and mentor colleagues to maximise performance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employee development.
• Liaise effectively with internal departments and operational partners.
• Support the investigation and resolution of customer queries.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with customs, security, GDPR and Health & Safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
• Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across the operation.
• Conduct workplace inspections and investigate incidents where required.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of operational standards.

Essential to the role

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Previous warehouse experience, specifically experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor role within logistics, warehousing or distribution.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Good computer literacy, including email communication.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Positive, proactive and flexible approach to work.

Desirable

• Logistics and freight experience.
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
• Dangerous Goods awareness.
• Security awareness.
• Forklift licence.
• First Aid qualification.
