MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a business segment of Element Solutions Inc., seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor for its Ashby distribution team. You will lead safety-focused operations, coach teams, and drive continuous improvement to meet quality and productivity targets.

Hours are 40 per week, Mon-Thu 7:15 am–4:30 pm and Fri 7:15 am–12:15 pm. The role offers £33,300 starting salary, a performance bonus, pension, life assurance, health plan, training and 25 days holiday plus

Competenze

• GCSE Grade 4 in Maths & English or equivalent, or through proven experience.
• Excellent knowledge of operational functions in a Distribution/Production environment of all MHE equipment and trucks.
• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience within manufacturing, production or a similar operational environment.
• Strong people management, coaching and team leadership skills.
• Good understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality policies requirements within manufacturing.
• Experience within the chemical, process manufacturing or another regulated industry is highly desirable.
• Qualification in team leadership and lean six sigma (desirable)
• IOSH/NEBOSH certification (desirable)

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leading structured problem-solving and root cause analysis activities to enhance safety, quality, service and operational efficiency.
• Ensure accurate use of operational systems and maintain reliable records, reporting and data integrity.
• Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to support operational and supply chain objectives.
• Provide leadership cover and decision‑making support in the absence of management.

Who are we looking for? We are looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Supervisor to join our Distribution team at the Ashby site. You will lead operational activities within your area of responsibility, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of business objectives. The role involves developing and coaching team members, driving performance and continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards of quality, service, and operational excellence.

Working hours and pattern

Hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.15 am to 4.30 pm including a 30-minute unpaid break, and Friday, 7.15 am to 12.15 pm. We are Offering...
