Job summary

Huws Gray Newmarket is looking for an Operations Supervisor to lead the yard team, oversee transport and stock, and provide excellent customer service at our Newmarket branch.

You'll drive efficient operations, uphold health and safety standards, and coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure on-time deliveries. We offer on-the-job training and opportunities to grow within the group.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating yard/transport operations or similar logistics role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team.
• Customer-focused and able to resolve issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee transport & fleet operations ensuring on-time delivery.
• Lead and support yard operatives to maintain efficient operations.
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external contacts across the supply chain.

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Operations Supervisor to lead a team of yard operatives, manage operations, and provide great customer service at our Newmarket branch.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinating and overseeing transport & fleet operations, ensuring accurate that get to our customers on time
• Supporting, monitoring and communicating with your eam to keep things running efficient
• Maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external contacts across the supply chain
• Provide create customer service while dealing with out customers, whether that is over the phone or on our counter
• Managing health and safety practices to ensure a safe and tidy working environment
• Ensuring branch policies and compliance standards are met
• Oversee operations including work allocation, stock counter, site management, setting and communicating objectives, ensuring quality standards are met, and resolving problems
