Huws Gray Group is seeking a Yard Operative for our Norwich Reepham Road branch. You’ll join a practical, customer-focused team and help keep the yard running smoothly, assisting customers, handling deliveries, and loading/unloading vehicles.

We value a great attitude, teamwork, and a willingness to learn. Forklift licence is a bonus but not a dealbreaker as full training is provided on the job.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles or retail/hardwares environments.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a practical yard team.
• Forklift licence is a bonus, not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Helping customers find what they need and offering practical product advice.
• Handling deliveries by checking in goods and storing them safely.
• Loading and unloading vehicles to keep the yard moving.
• Looking after the yard to keep it safe, tidy and secure for customers and colleagues.

We’re now looking for a Yard Operative to join the team at our Norwich Reepham Road branch. If you enjoy working outdoors, being part of a practical team, and delivering excellent customer service, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Yard Operative, you’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the yard. Here’s what the job involves:

• Helping customers find what they need – offering friendly, practical advice and sharing your knowledge of our products
• Handling deliveries – checking in goods, storing them safely and keeping everything organised
• Loading and unloading vehicles – working closely with the branch and driving teams to keep everything moving
• Looking after our yard – keeping it safe, tidy and secure for our customers and colleagues
