Job description

We’re now looking for a highly organised and driven Operations Strategy Analyst to provide critical analytical and project support to the Operations Strategy team. You will be responsible for diving deep into data, identifying bottlenecks, and helping translate high-level strategy into actionable, day-to-day improvements. This is a role for someone who loves getting their hands dirty in data to find the “why” behind the “what.”

At the PTO, you’ll contribute to bold, industry-defining projects, learning through experimentation and helping to reshape the future of triathlon. This is your opportunity to build something truly meaningful and be a part of an exciting journey.

Reporting to the Business Strategy Associate, this role is based at our London HQ.

Key Role Responsibilities
Strategic Support
  • Take a lead role in executing specific strategic tasks (e.g., build out pricing strategy for new events) and see them through from data-gathering to maintaining a final product
  • Assist in turning “one-off” operational tasks into standardised templates and documents outlining how to complete repeatable processes
  • Maintain and update internal performance dashboards to monitor revenue, cost optimisation, and efficiency metrics
  • Conduct initial analysis on operational datasets to identify trends and “red flags”
  • Assist in the preparation of high-quality decks and reports for executive audiences by translating raw data into clear charts and visualizations
  • Conduct benchmarking and market research to compare internal capabilities against industry competitors and best practices
Project Coordination
  • Act as the “drumbeat” for strategic initiatives, keeping project trackers updated and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Assist the Business Strategy Associate in coordinating with departments to gather requirements and ensure project alignment
  • Map out “current state” versus “ideal state” operational processes to help identify areas for improvement
Who We’re Looking For
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in an analytical role (e.g., Operations, Consulting, Strategy), preferably sports/events related industry
  • Detail-orientated with superb analytical skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel / Google Sheets, familiarity with Google Slides (Lookups, Pivot Tables, and basic modeling are a must)
  • Ability to distill complex tasks into simple updates. You should be comfortable asking “why” and “how” when given a task and have a “get things done” mentality
  • You don’t just report a problem; you suggest a potential first step to fix it
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift weekly
  • A team player who enjoys supporting others to achieve a collective goal
  • Up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • The opportunity to change the sport of triathlon and build something you can be really proud of.
  • Flat working environment and a get-things-done company culture.
  • Private health insurance through Vitality, including wellness benefits and more.
  • 25 days holiday + Christmas break.
  • Flexible Working Structure.
  • Enhanced parental leave.
  • Company share option scheme to drive ownership ability and allow financial participation in company success.
  • Complimentary / discounted T100 event entries for employees, friends and family.
  • Free snacks, drinks, gym classes, open water swim credits and more.
