Job summary

RWE Generation UK is seeking an experienced manager to join the Station Management Team at King’s Lynn Power Station. This permanent, full-time role focuses on safe, reliable plant operation and continuous improvement to maximise the site's potential.

You will directly line-manage five staff and indirectly manage ten more, ensuring delivery of OGSM objectives and strong HSE adherence within a dynamic portfolio.

Qualifications

• Management experience within a Station Management team.
• Qualification in leadership/management or engineering discipline and professional body membership.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities with attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and directives.

Responsibilities

• Direct Line Management of 5 staff and indirect line management of 10 staff.
• Ensure safe and reliable operation of King’s Lynn Power Station and manage the CAO relationship.
• Deliver the Site OGSM Objectives.

An integral member part of the Station Management Team, providing Management of the Operations department. Whilst maintaining safe, flexible and reliable plant, deliver ongoing continuous improvements to maximise the potential of the Station within the HC&G UK portfolio. This role will also require effective management of resources to deliver operational & business requirements.

About the role

• Direct Line Management of 5 staff members, indirect line management of a further 10 staff.
• Responsible for the safe and reliable operation of King’s Lynn Power Station including managing the relationship with CAO.
• Delivery of the Site OGSM Objectives.
• Lead on Operational Excellence Implementation in key areas.

Job requirements and experience

• Management experience with the ability to operate as a member of the Station Management team while possessing good management skills to operate a strong team based environment.
• A holder of an appropriate qualification in relevant leadership / management or engineering discipline and membership of a relevant professional body.
• Demonstrates the ability to deal with constantly changing priorities.
• Attention to detail, combined with a methodical, innovative, numerate, analytical and well-organised approach.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, regulations and directives.
• Values and behaviours – developing the business culture through engagement and encouragement with all staff within their teams and wider portfolio.
