ReeVR Talent in Hitchin is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations at a leading site. The role focuses on driving operational excellence, quality and safety, with close collaboration across production, engineering, quality and supply chain teams to achieve growth.

Key requirements include a proven background in regulated manufacturing, strong leadership, expertise in Lean/Six Sigma, and a degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Operations Manager within aerospace, defence, precision engineering, or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing production teams.
• Good understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Degree-qualified or equivalent industry experience; relevant certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop manufacturing and production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee production planning and execution to ensure on-time delivery and operational efficiency.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, health and safety requirements, and industry regulations.
• Monitor operational KPIs and implement actions to improve performance.
• Manage resources, inventory, and supply chain activities to support production requirements.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and operational performance targets
