Quartz Recruitment Specialists Ltd is recruiting an Operations Manager to join the executive team at a resort in North Devon, leading five departments and reporting to the General Manager. Salary £45,000–£50,000 per annum, plus bonus and a share of service charge.

• Three years+ in a senior operations role in a hotel or resort.
• Track record of lifting guest scores and profit with numbers.
• Experience developing managers rather than doing their jobs for them.
• Working knowledge of Opera, Harri, Revinate and Procure Wizard.

• Read the guest feedback, find the pattern and fix the cause.

I am recruiting an Operations Manager to join the executive team at a resort in North Devon, leading five departments and reporting to the General Manager.

The role

You would lead the heads of Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Kitchen, Front Office and Guest Services. Budgets, payroll and profitability sit with you, as does the standard of every guest's stay from arrival to departure.

Day to day, you would:

• Develop the department heads into a team that runs well without you in the room
• Read the guest feedback, find the pattern and fix the cause
• Manage labour and cost lines across all five departments
• Keep the resort compliant on health and safety, food safety and employment law

What I am looking for
