Keston Primary School is seeking an capable Operations Manager to oversee people and business administration in a school setting. The role is collaborative, working with the Headteacher and trust team to keep non-teaching operations running smoothly for the benefit of pupils.
The successful candidate will have proven people-management and admin experience, with potential to grow HR skills, and be highly organised with excellent time management and relationship-building abilities.
About the role
We are looking for a capable individual who is proactive, highly self-motivated, and able to manage themselves and others.
This is a part-time role comprising 27 hours per week. The working pattern will be subject to agreement between the successful candidate and the Headteacher but is likely to include either a 4 or 5 day week during school term times plus 3 weeks of hours worked across the school holidays, agreed with the Headteacher. Daily hours during school term times are likely to be 8.30-3.45pm for 4 days (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
There is a national pay rise pending which will be back dated to the date of appointment. Pay progression within the range is subject to good or better performance. Permanent employment will be subject to satisfactory completion of a three-month probationary period.
As Operations Manager you will working in partnership with our Headteacher, Tara Eason, and our trust team, to ensure that our 'behind the scenes' arrangements support Keston Primary School to deliver the best possible education for the children in our care.
