• Commercially astute operations professional with a proven track record delivering complex projects in construction.
• Experience in Operations Management, Contracts Management, or Senior Project Delivery.

• Experience in Construction, Structural Steel, Roofing, Cladding, or related engineering.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused operational leader to join a well-established business and play a key role in the successful delivery of engineered project solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

The Role

The purpose of this position is to manage a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused delivery function. You will oversee the successful execution of projects from award through to completion, ensuring compliance with legislation, client specifications, and business objectives.

Working closely with internal departments and customers, you will maintain and develop strong client relationships while ensuring resources are effectively managed to deliver continuous operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Project Managers.
• Work closely with Sales and Commercial teams to support project delivery, bids, and tender submissions.
• Coordinate projects from award stage through to successful completion.
• Liaise with internal manufacturing teams, logistics and fleet operations, and site installation teams.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring deadlines are achieved or exceeded.
• Proactively identify and resolve project delays or operational challenges.
• Drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction across all operational activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

About You

The successful candidate will be a commercially astute operational professional with a proven track record of delivering complex projects within the construction sector.

You will possess:

• Previous experience in an Operations Management, Contracts Management, or Senior Project Delivery role.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse costs, improve efficiencies, and maximise profitability.
• Experience within Construction, Structural Steel, Roofing, Cladding, or a related engineering environment.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to operational delivery.
