Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. Desford site is seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations, drive safety culture and exceed performance KPIs. You will manage teams, contractors and visitors, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely processing and service delivery.

The role is full-time, permanent, Monday to Friday, 06:00–18:00, 37.5 hours. A competitive salary up to £50,000, plus pension, life assurance and generous annual leave supports your career and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse/distribution operations
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with stakeholder management experience
• IT literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Knowledge of HSEQ and regulatory compliance (advantageous NEBOSH or CITB MAPS)

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Site Operations Manager to lead our Desford site, ensuring operational KPIs are met, safety standards are upheld, and teams are developed to deliver excellence.
At Hinkley Point C, we’re building two new nuclear reactors – the first in a new generation of power stations delivering zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. As a Tier One partner to Nuclear New Build (NNB), we provide warehousing and transportation services critical to the success of this project.
This is a full-time permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, between the house of 06:00 and 18:00, covering 37.5 hours per week. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). A company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and death in service.
