Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our leadership team as Operations Manager. As part of our leadership team, they will drive improvement and change in the ways we work to enable us to improve the working environment for staff and deliver the best possible standard of care to our patients. This individual will work with our current practice manager and partners to oversee the day-to-day operation of the practice, including areas such as workforce support, rota design, implementation of new clinical systems, and demand and access.

Main duties of the job

1. Organisational
2. Co-ordinate and oversee implementation of new digital systems
3. Oversee KPIs including demand and capacity data and enhanced access activity
4. Oversee the practice's appointment systems and ensure that this aligns with current demand and workforce capacity
5. Oversee workforce planning, including clinical and non-clinical rotas
6. Monitor, analyze, and present data to the practice leadership team
7. Coordinate response to unexpected system and IT failures or staff absences
8. Work with the leadership team to ensure practice protocols and procedures comply with guidelines and are accessible to staff
9. Collaborate on CQC activities and Clinical Governance

Leadership

1. Identify opportunities for improving ways of working and departmental practices through new approaches or modifications
2. Lead and coordinate the work of individual practice teams
3. Promote better patient engagement, e.g., developing the patient participation group and obtaining patient feedback
4. Represent the practice at meetings including PCN and Integrated Care Board meetings alongside the Practice Manager
