Introduction to Role

Join our UK 1 Engineering and Facilities Function team at AstraZeneca, where you will provide professional engineering and facilities support to our Biologics manufacturing facility in Speke, Liverpool. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a world-class service, ensuring uninterrupted, stable, and reliable operation of the UK1 Manufacturing, Testing, Research & Development processes.

Accountabilities

As an Operations Maintenance Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a multi-disciplined engineering team working in a manufacturing environment, managing external service providers, and ensuring all operations maintenance activities are performed in accordance with AZ SHE requirements. You will focus on compliance activities, manage regulatory quality compliance, and provide technical support for all Maintenance Engineering and Facility plant and equipment. Additionally, you will support the delivery of the site's Energy Efficient programme aligned with AstraZeneca's corporate targets.

This role operates on a 4 on / 4 off 12-hour shift rota to meet business requirements.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Formal Engineering apprenticeship, likely with an HNC (ONC) academic qualification
• Extensive experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical Maintenance Engineering
• Strong leadership skills with excellent organizational abilities
• Considerable technical knowledge and a high level of expertise in the field
• Practical working knowledge of SAP
• Familiarity with operation and maintenance of automated equipment, utilities, and HVAC systems

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
