Job Description:

Grade K £48,710 - £52,805 per annum, pay award pending. Plus, essential car user allowance and a 7% enhancement for evening and weekend working.

Contract: Permanent, Full time.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to become a Team Manager within our newly established Family Help Service, to lead on the development and implementation of the Family Group Conference approach. The role will be pivotal in ensuring the principles of FGC are embedded to enable families to find culturally sensitive solutions to their own problems within a professionally supportive framework.

The post holder will be responsible for the management, agreement, case oversight and more generally the mediation and facilitation of the Family Group Conference process and wider Family Network approach. This will include responsibility for ensuring meetings are organised and managed in the best interests of Children.

The role also includes leading on the development and delivery of a robust Parenting and Group Work support offer as part of the Family Help and Family Hub service offer, ensuring oversight of activity and responsivity to emerging needs within communities.

About You

You will be a passionate and experienced manager with an understanding and experience of working with Children and Families, and an in-depth understanding of Family Group Decision Making approaches. You will have a good understanding of Family Help developments, Family Group Conference and Family Network approaches.

You will have experience of managing high performing teams, utilising a restorative approach to leadership and leading by example. You will have experience of working with Children’s Services and partners, supporting culture, practice and integrated working.

You will be an approachable and confident leader, who embraces creativity and approaches change with a ‘can do’ attitude to overcome challenges.
