Job summary

Veolia ES Leeds Limited is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Assistant in Leeds for permanent night shifts (22:00–06:30, 40 hours). You will operate mobile plant, learn SCADA, and support safe, efficient processing with a focus on housekeeping and safety. A full UK driving licence is essential, with training provided for SCADA and lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant to support safe, efficient facility operation.
• Learn SCADA operation and use it to monitor processes.
• Carry out cleaning across MPT area including baling hall, yard, shredders, trommels and equipment.
• Keep work areas clean and free from spillages and obstructions for safety.
• Support safe management of contractors and visitors on site.
• Communicate clearly with team and pass on operational information.
• Carry out pre-use checks on tools and equipment and report defects.
• Follow site safety procedures and use emergency stops as required.
• Assist with clearing plant blockages and basic isolations following LOTO procedures.
