Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an Operations Officer to manage the Waste Care operations, supervise the day-to-day workforce, and ensure efficient delivery of services in Dudley. The position is full-time (37 hours per week) with working hours from 05:30 to 17:00 and occasional out-of-hours work. Grade 8, £36,581 to £39,481 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising operational teams is desirable.
• Ability to organise resources and transport efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Waste Care operations and the operational workforce.
• Plan resources and vehicles to meet service delivery.
• Carry out welfare visits to staff as needed.
• Conduct health and safety inspections and promote safe working practices.
• Respond to residents’ enquiries and complaints promptly.
