Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, you will drive continuous improvement across KPI areas, supervise production supervisors, manage budgets, and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices. The role requires hands-on leadership in a dynamic site, with accountability for regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience leading an operations team within a manufacturing site.
• Strong track record in safety, quality, and cost performance.
• Ability to drive improvements using root-cause analysis and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Leads the continuous improvement of the department on all KPI’s
• Ensure compliance with all processes within the department. i.e. operational meetings, SOC reviews, SOP / OPL, etc
• Leads effective root cause analysis process for department with focus on eradicating problems
• Leads the implementation of KHMS pillars within the department
• Delivery of leader standard work with focus on how we grow / improve the department
• Assists with the supervision of the planning, organizing and directing of production activities and employee placement/training/development to cost effectively produce a high quality finished product
• Responsible for coordinating all activities within assigned area of the plant, including manage multiple Production Supervisors
• Accountable for all financial, safety, quality, and regulatory matters in assigned area of the plant
• Ensures all food preparation and packaging is compliant to the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety regulations
• Manages operations to achieve daily efficiencies in keeping with established standards
• Manage budget of assigned department in accordance with annual productivity improvement targets
• Prepares departmental costs and variances with regard to productivity, short and long-range planning, labour scheduling, product scheduling, raw materials, packaging supplies, product weights, sanitation and housekeeping
