Job summary

Placr Recruitment is partnering with a Chartered Wealth Management and Financial Planning firm in Haywards Heath to recruit an Operations & Client Services Manager. The role leads an administration team, optimises workflows and safeguards FCA-compliant records to ensure smooth client journeys.

You will report to the Managing Director, drive process improvements and mentor staff as the operation scales. A hands‑on, influential leadership position with study support awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial planning, IFA or wealth management administration or operations.
• The organisation and attention to detail to manage competing deadlines and spot issues before they delay a case.
• Confidence speaking with clients and providers and working closely with advisers and paraplanners.
• Experience with investment platforms and back-office CRM systems, familiarity with tools such as FE Analytics or Voyant, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Run the administration team's day‑to‑day workflow. Set priorities, allocate work and keep client meetings, reviews and new business on track.
• Own the quality of client service. Work with clients, providers, advisers and paraplanners. Oversee review packs, valuations and client reports, and keep new business cases moving through to completion.
• Keep records and files in good order. Maintain high standards for CRM data and file quality in line with FCA requirements and internal procedures. Oversee the administration of fund switches and portfolio rebalances.
• Improve how the firm works. Work with the Managing Director on projects that simplify processes, improve client communication and get more out of the firm's systems.
• Develop the team. Train and mentor colleagues, help clarify responsibilities and give people the support they need to grow.
