Job summary

DUAL, part of Howden, is seeking an Operations Manager (12-month FTC) to strengthen underwriting operations, governance and regulatory compliance across binder, bordereaux, finance and claims. Reporting to the Business Director, you will coordinate with underwriting, finance, compliance and technology, liaising with capacity providers and coverholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Delegated Authority operations within an MGA or carrier environment
• Strong understanding of binder governance, compliance and regulatory requirements
• Sound knowledge of bordereaux, claims and finance processes within a delegated underwriting context
• Efficient, highly organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, solution-driven approach with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment

Responsibilities

• Binding Authorities: support capacity provider requirements, including binder docs and audits
• Assist with Binding Authority Agreements: renewals, mid-term adjustments, profit commissions
• Respond promptly to monthly carrier queries and resolve outstanding matters
• Compliance & Regulatory: maintain FCA compliance and data protection standards
• Bordereaux: manage production, accuracy and disbursement of bordereau
• Finance: manage aged debt and unallocated cash; oversee cash reconciliation
• Underwriting: ensure timely data entry and monitor controls for policy issuance
• Technology: coordinate with third-party suppliers and oversee system changes
