Job summary

The Social Change Nest in London seeks an Operations Manager to own the contractual ecosystem, manage client terms, grant agreements, and supplier contracts, and ensure compliance across the organisation. You will draft, redline, and negotiate bespoke clauses while identifying operational risks before they impact delivery.

Working with the Delivery, Finance and Governance teams, you’ll improve workflows, support grassroots groups, and help scale our social impact while upholding regulatory

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of proven experience reviewing, redlining, and drafting commercial contracts (ToS, SLAs, supplier or grant agreements).
• Sharp eye for business risk, with a solid understanding of liability, indemnity, and IP clauses.
• Experience with grant agreements and non-profit funding compliance and reporting burdens.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple contract workflows.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to explain risks to non-legal colleagues and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and finalize client Terms of Service (ToS) for new clients and grassroots groups joining the platform.
• Review and sign off on incoming grant agreements, ensuring strict adherence to compliance, reporting milestones, and funding criteria before disbursements are initiated.
• Manage contracts for software/SaaS vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring deliverables, data sharing, liabilities, and IP clauses are clearly defined.
• Identify red flag clauses and negotiate acceptable terms with funders and partners.
• Draft operational clauses, addendums, and statements of work tailored to project or funding needs.
• Update and maintain SCN’s standard template agreements to reflect changing business, legal, and regulatory needs.
