Job summary

ECW Search in the United Kingdom is seeking a motivated Operations Executive to bolster the logistics team for a fast-growing health foods SME. You will oversee daily operations, inventory, and supplier engagement to support rapid growth in grocery retail.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will optimise processes, monitor KPIs, and drive cost-efficiency while upholding quality and compliance. FMCG experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in operations management, preferably in food or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Proficiency in using operations software including Shopify, Xero, Gorgias.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations including inventory, logistics, and distribution.
• Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor KPIs to ensure targets are met.
• Raise purchase orders and manage supplier lead times.
• Update inventory reports and coordinate stock movements.
• Manage customer enquiries across two inboxes and ensure satisfaction.

One of the top SME business in the health foods sector are looking to bolster their Operations and Logistics Team. Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Operations Executive to join this fantastic team and help drive their operational excellence as they continue to grow.

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the company reporting to the wonderful Senior Operations Manager, ensuring that processes run smoothly and efficiently underpinning growth.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong communication and project management skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environment! The ideal candidate will have experience in operations and/or logistics, a keen understanding of the food or consumer products industry, and a passion for promoting healthy living.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of the company, including inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational targets are met.

Supply Chain:

• Raise purchase orders and check on lead times with suppliers/ freight partners to ensure timely delivery of high-quality raw materials.
• Optimise supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve reliability.
• Update inventory report and circulate company wide.
• Book deliveries into our warehouses,
• Physical requirements to collect and move stock between locations/offices to events with the team

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
• Implement and oversee quality control processes throughout the production cycle.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Implement methodologies to streamline operations.
• Develop and manage projects aimed at operational enhancements.

Customer Service:

• Manage DTC and trade customer enquiries across 2 inboxes to ensure customer satisfaction and address any operational issues that may arise.
• Analyse customer feedback to inform operational decisions and improvements.
• Help with packing and dispatching orders to customers and retailers

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and legal requirements.
• Implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Qualifications:
