Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Operations Manager to govern BlueBear operations in Bedfordshire, delivering governance, compliance, trials and cross-functional coordination. You will drive process standardisation, quality management, and KPI tracking to support Saab UK's strategic objectives.

The role requires experience leading change, strong communication, and knowledge of ISO standards and export controls; National Security Vetting to SC level is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills and ability to drive change.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
• Experience implementing effective change in an organisation.
• Experience managing risks and applying risk management policies including business continuity.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems ISO 9001 and compliance.
• ISO 27001 desirable.
• Knowledge of UK export control, health & safety, environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement to high standards across the organisation.
• Lead process standardisation and ensure compliance with the quality management system.
• Coordinate with Saab UK functions on critical compliance areas including export controls, health & safety, and security.
• Develop and track KPIs to support the Strategic Business Plan.
• Capture customer feedback and communicate success while tracking changes.
• Communicate Operational Excellence across the organisation.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activity.
• Act as Risk and Opportunity Co-ordinator and lead business continuity activities.
• Coordinate implementation of new compliance standards and tools.
• Gather internal feedback to drive continuous improvements.
• Deliver internal training on continuous improvement / operational excellence.
• Champion information management within BlueBear.
• Support internal project activity and manage the Facility Coordinator.
