Edina is seeking an Operations Engineer to maintain and repair gas and diesel engine installations across the UK. The role involves scheduled and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and first-time fixes where possible.

You will oversee engine servicing, plan parts, and coordinate with service teams and contractors to support after-sales contracts while working in a field-based role across diverse sites.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified with ONC/NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 in mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Minimum three years’ industrial mechanical experience.
• Strong engine/generator fundamentals and IT skills.

The Role

As an Operations Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for maintaining and repairing gas and diesel engine installations at client sites throughout the UK.

Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance, you will undertake fault-finding both locally and remotely and play a key role in keeping systems running smoothly across a wide range of sites.

You’ll also diagnose technical issues, implement first-time fixes where possible, and ensure all work is completed in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and service schedules.

Additionally, you will:

• Oversee the servicing and maintenance of engines and ancillary equipment


• Plan resources and parts for repairs


• Co-ordinate with parts and service teams to support successful after-sales contracts


• Liaise with contractors, third parties, and colleagues

About You

To be considered as an Operations Engineer, you’ll need:

• To hold a minimum of an ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in a mechanical and/or electrical based discipline


• To be a competent time-served technician, preferably with a minimum of three years’ industrial mechanical experience


• To have considerable skills and in-depth knowledge of engine and/or generator fundamentals


• To have effective IT skills and competency in the use of Microsoft Office packages


• To hold a full, valid driving licence

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm

This role will involve weekend work and possible out-of-hours work. You will be required to participate in an established 24-hour callout program based on a rota system.
